The history of Savoy Corporation is the personification of the great American dream. And it all started with a nickel.

1907 16-year-old Andrew Pansini arrived in New York from Italy with a dream to build a business.
1916 He landed in Los Angeles with 11¢ in his pocket.
1917 Andrew saw the need for the "off-street parking" in downtown L.A. He founded Savoy Corporation by opening the world's first parking lot: Savoy Auto Park. The fee was just 5¢ a day.
1932 Savoy managed the parking concessions for the Xth Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
1942 Mr. Pansini opened Savoy's Union Square Garage in San Francisco. It was the world's first — and largest — underground parking garage.
1950's Savoy opened the Ellis O'Farrell Garage, the Golden Gateway Garage and numerous other Savoy Auto Park facilities in San Francisco.
1958 On May 28, 1958, Savoy founder Mr. Andrew Pansini, passes on. Later that year, his son Andrew L. Pansini, invents the world's first automatic pool cleaner and creates Jandy Industries.
1964 Savoy developed and opened up the first Rain Tunnel Car Wash in San Francisco at Fisherman's Wharf. It was the first operation of its kind west of the Mississippi.
1964 Crocker Bank built its world headquarters, a 42-story office building on Savoy land at 6th and Grand in downtown Los Angeles. Crocker leased the land from Savoy for 100 years and Savoy operates the 725-stall garage for 53 years.
1968 Savoy opened its second Rain Tunnel Car Wash in San Rafael, closely followed by two additional Rain Tunnel Car Wash locations in Concord and South San Francisco.
1972 Savoy developed its first commercial office building with the construction of the Savoy Building in San Francisco at Fisherman's Wharf.
1985 Savoy built the Pansini Building at 170 Columbus Ave, in San Francisco, which is now its Northern California headquarters.
1985 Savoy developed two buildings in Novato, CA for Jandy Industries.
2000 Savoy sold its land interest in Los Angeles in exchange for five office buildings in Petaluma.
Today Savoy owns and manages over $50,000,000 in commercial real estate in Northern California, with 9 buildings in San Francisco, Larkspur, Petaluma and Napa. Our personal service has won us legions of customers and created a way of doing business that is friendly and honest.
